The DG is born from the most progressive ideas about geometry. Named after the decomposed granite trails in our area that drain water in the winter and get a little sketchy in summer, this bike is designed to handle the roughest and steepest terrain out there. On a DG you can keep up with your friends on full-suspension bikes, but have more fun! This bike has a very long front center and short chain stays (rear center). You can still clean an uphill switchback, but the long wheelbase lets the DG really shine when descending at speed. The rider compartment is designed around an efficient climbing position and a long dropper post to let you sink into the center of the bike on descents.
Geometry and Sizing
Please keep in mind that the DG is made to order for each customer, so sizing can be customized for each rider based on their preferred stack/reach, seated cockpit measurements, or RAD.
The way the bike is sized allows you to make this design fit like your current favorite bike, but it will ride like a Scharen. Using a series of measurements you take from your own bike, or a professional bike fitting, I will dial in the variable dimensions to fit the bike to you.
- Fixed geometry elements: chain stay length, seat tube angle, head tube angle
- Custom geometry elements: reach, seat tube length, head tube length
